Mengyuan’s interest in the Mental Health field was inspired by her experience doing volunteer work in the human service fields helping underprivileged children, domestic abuse victims, and people with disabilities.
After she graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees of Science in Psychology and Biology at University of Wisconsin-Madison, she decided to continue being educated as a mental health counselor. During her graduate study at University of Pennsylvania, she has interned as a college counselor and a group counselor for women dealing with trauma.
Mengyuan sees counseling as a genuine human interaction that brings insights both ways. Her goal as a counselor is to empower and accompany clients on their journey of getting to know themselves and becoming the version of them that they want to become. Using an eclectic approach, she aims to provide care that is tailored to each client’s needs.
Mengyuan’s Mantra:“Treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.”
