Tracy Semar is a Recreational Therapist for Water Gap Wellness and believes in the healing power of the outdoors.
Originally from New York, Tracy is a graduate of Queens College with a degree in Psychology & Studio Arts. Tracy has always had a strong love for the outdoors; going camping with her family, riding bikes and exploring earth’s rich soil. Over the years, Tracy has had the opportunity to work with several non-profits in the Education & Training field. Tracy got her start working as a Wilderness Instructor in New Hampshire and discovered the impact that the natural world could have on a persons’ health & well-being. During those expeditions she facilitated programs that increased self-confidence, encouraged perseverance & personal growth.
Through her experience, Tracy has seen time and again that getting out of your comfort zone is challenging but worth it and is excited to share that philosophy with the clients here at Water Gap Wellness. In her spare time, Tracy likes to get out and hike, kayak & rock climb. Tracy’s also an amateur baker who is still working on making a halfway decent croissant someday.
Tracy’s Mantra: “Strive for progress, not perfection.”
