Water Gap Wellness Inn is now hiring a prep cook

M-F 7am-3pm or F-Tues 7am-3pm. Full benefits. Generous compensation.

Responsibilities include

  • Assist Chef with set-up and preparation of food items.
  • Prepare ingredients, such as chopping, cutting, etc.
  • Assist Chef with conducting food/supplies inventory.
  • Perform necessary clean-up and sanitation maintenance activities.
  • Help transport food to other facilities in company vehicle.
  • Assist with product receiving and/or storage of products.
  • Communicate with all employees and guests about ingredients in food, as well as be knowledgeable of any food allergies.
  • Sanitize and clean kitchen, dish room and serving areas.
  • Maintain positive demeanor with all departments and guests.
  • Maintain full compliance with the Department of Health regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Chef or supervisors.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of cooking experience
  • 18 years or older
  • Experience in managing and upholding a safe working condition
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • ServSafe a plus
  • Understanding of how to use equipment properly
