“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas Edison
Matthew Ottinger is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for Water Gap Wellness.
Matthew has worked in healthcare since 2011 after completing his undergraduate degree in nursing
from Wilkes University. Early in his career, he worked as a registered nurse in several emergency
departments, including a level 1 trauma center, as well as several inpatient psychiatric units. Matthew
has experience in healthcare management within the psychiatric setting as well. Believing that he would
have a greater impact on patient outcomes in the nurse practitioner role, Matthew decided to further
his education by completing the PMHNP program at Drexel University.
Utilizing evidence-based and best practices, while treating each patient as a unique individual, is how
Matthew approaches health care delivery.
