ADHD/ADD
What Are the Symptoms of ADHD?
The symptoms of ADHD usually involve trouble focusing or controlling behaviors. Children or adults with ADHD might:
- Have trouble paying attention and get caught daydreaming a lot
- Take unnecessary risks
- Have difficulty resisting temptation
- Have trouble getting along with others
- Forget things or lose things a lot
Adults might find it challenging to focus. They might find it next to impossible to prioritize, meaning they miss important deadlines or forget about social plans. The most significant risk, though, is the inability to control impulses. This inability can range from being unable to stand waiting in line, having random outbursts of anger, or abusing drugs and alcohol.
