Outpatient Program
The Water Gap Wellness Center Outpatient Program offers a variety of therapeutic outpatient services such as neurofeedback, TMS, individual genetic testing, individual and group therapy and medication-assisted treatments.
Neurofeedback
EEG (electroencephalogram) biofeedback, also known as Neurofeedback, is a therapeutic intervention that utilizes computer-based programs to assess a client’s brainwave activity. The program uses sound and visual signals to reorganize or retrain brain signals. By responding to exercises clients’ brain function is improved and various neurological and mental health symptoms can be alleviated.
Medication Management
Taking medications as prescribed is extremely important. The experts at Water Gap Wellness Outpatient Program work with each client individually to determine the ideal medication and to ensure prescriptions are filled on a timely basis. Additionally, Water Gap Wellness will communicate with family members and maintain open communication at all times.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which a group of people meet to discuss their personal problems. Water Gap Wellness, under the direction of a certified counselor, offers group therapy every day, where clients gather to talk about and discern life-situations.
TMS
TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven’t been effective. This pain-free treatment for depression involves delivering repetitive magnetic pulses to the brain.
Medication-Assisted Treatments
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, which is effective in the treatment of opioid use disorders (OUD) and can help some people to sustain recovery.
Individual Genetic Research
Clients learn their genetic makeup and explore how their genes cause or influence diseases.
